Sounds are caused when something vibrates.

All things are made of matter.

When matter vibrates, it makes sound.


Tapping on a metal bucket makes a sound.

It is a different sound than kicking a tire.

The type of matter determines the sound an object makes.

Some sounds are loud like a marching band.

Some sounds are soft like the purr of a kitten.


Some sounds have a high pitch.

Some sounds have a low pitch.

Flutes have a high pitch sound.
