Description: This book, created through a partnership with the Niswonger Foundation, was created to provide support to teachers and students who are responsible for the content in the first course of a high school integrated mathematics track. Specifically, this book was designed for those who are following the TN Core pathway in Tennessee. In our minds, this book should be viewed as a starting point. We wanted to provide a solid backbone from which you could begin to teach and learn. While this book will not provide everything that you will need in your course, we hope that it is useful as a place that students and teachers can go to in order to frame mathematical discussions. For students, we hope that this book can provide support when you are working on assignments and need some guidance. For teachers, we hope it is a useful resource for you to use when you're planning your year. When using the book, make sure to look through the resources section to find extra content, including a digital copy of most of the videos (just in case your school blocks Youtube). There are also significantly more resources, including interactive practice activities, throughout the CK-12 site. We hope that you take this book and make it your own by expanding and customizing the sections to best meet your needs.
